Officially, there are only 80 inhabitants in the small village of El Guro, which lies above the holiday resort of Valle Gran Rey. Everyone knows everyone here. People help each other, exchange information and there is a harmonious atmosphere. The selection of available holiday homes and flats in El Guro is correspondingly limited.

Often, the accommodation in El Guro is a little bit cheaper than in the more touristy Valle Gran Rey below. And especially in the busy winter months or the holiday periods, you can still get a good deal here - provided you book well in advance. Most of the accommodations in El Guro have their own, very individual charm and these are not comparable to a typical Gomera accommodation. If you are looking for a classic tourist accommodation, you are definitely wrong in El Guro. Very few of the holiday homes, apartments and flats in the tranquil artists' village can boast luxury or extravagant comfort.

Typical El Guro accommodation

If I had to describe a typical El Guro accommodation in a few words, I would choose the following: Colourful, individual, a mix of modern and nostalgic elements, originality mixed with creativity, close to nature and a unique panorama. In addition, most of the holiday homes and appartments in El Guro have a large terrace or a green garden with an idyllic view of the sea or valley. And Wi-Fi is available free of charge in almost all accommodation, including in my two holiday homes in El Guro.

If you want to stay a little away from the tourist hustle and bustle, El Guro is the right place for you. Despite the peace and seclusion, you are only a few minutes away from the ocean, the national park or even the lively beach promenade of the Valle Gran Rey. I always recommend my guests to book a rental car during their stay. This way you can " easily" drive to the beach, to the supermarket, which is about 2 kilometres away, or to one of the restaurants or cafés downstairs.

But I don't want to hide the fact that you have to climb a total of 130 stairs to get to your holiday home in El Guro. But if you don't mind, you will be rewarded with a truly unique panorama, enchanting accommodation and very friendly and open-minded people. This traditional country house was lovingly rebuilt by hand and the guests have a covered, furnished and green terrace at their disposal, from which you have an incredibly beautiful panoramic view into La Gomera's nature.

With this charming accommodation, we have made sure that the old and historic walls are preserved in order to maintain the authentic charm of this accommodation. We combined these with modern as well as traditional and artistically touched elements - and that is how the small "Casa Limon" came into being. The beaches of the Valle Gran Rey are less than 5 minutes away (1.5 km). Wi-Fi is available free of charge throughout the house.
